Borodianka

Even the smaller villages were targeted by the occupiers that wanted to capture Kyiv in the first days of the invasion. Borodianka is northwest of Kyiv, in 50 kilometres. The Village was founded as early as in the 12th century. It is known for the developing agrarian industry, Borodianka Excavator Plant, there was an airfield for civil aviation and skydiving.

As of 2020, about 13 thousand people lived there.

On the territory of Borodianka, the rubble clearance is ongoing, the exact number of the killed is unknown.
