Chernihiv

Chernihiv is a city in the north of Ukraine with an amazing history and architecture. It is one of the main centers of political, economic and socio-cultural life of Ukrainians. 

Since the 25th of February, the city has been shelled with tanks, hailstones, missiles, and aviation. According to the authorities, between 80,000 and 95,000 people remained in the city. Before the war, its population was 290,000. Since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, about 700 people have died in Chernihiv.

In the past — the city of legends, now — "Hero City of Ukraine", an award that Chernihiv has recently received, because it became a real fortress on the way of the Russian troops to Kyiv.
