The School of Economics of Karazin National University
V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University (KhNU) was founded in 1804. It is one of the oldest institutions of higher education not only in Ukraine but also in Eastern Europe. Such Nobel laureates as Illya Mechnikov, Lev Landau and Simon Kuznets worked within its walls at one time.
KhNU has 8 institutes and 17 faculties. And today there is not a single university building left that would not suffer from Russian shelling.
The building of the Faculty of Economics was most damaged, it was almost completely destroyed by Russian missiles. The building is located in the city center and has the status of a cultural attraction. Built in the 1920s according to the project of the famous Ukrainian architect Serhiy Tymoshenko, it is one of the first reinforced concrete structures in Ukraine.
The Faculty of Economics of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University was founded in 1933. Today it is a powerful educational, methodical and scientific division of the university with more than 100 professors and 3000 students as well as 50 graduate students. The faculty includes a center for innovative methods of education and 8 departments.
