Regional State Administration
The building, where the Kharkiv Regional Council, the Kharkiv Regional State Administration and some departments of the Kharkiv City Council worked, became the target of two Russian Kalibr missiles on March 1.
A direct hit by missiles killed 29 people. The building is significantly damaged, the floorings were destroyed, windows and doors were knocked out.
The House of Councils is located in the historical part of the city, on the Svobody Square, and is an architectural monument. It was erected in 1954 on the site of the building of the Provincial Zemstvo, significantly rebuilt under the "Soviets" and destroyed during the Second World War. It also suffered irreparable destruction, this time from the shelling of the Russian military.
