On the morning of March 18, the Russian military struck a residential area in the Podilsky district of Kiev. The remains of the downed missile fell on a 5-storey residential building, causing its first three floors to catch fire. Firefighters extinguished the fire and evacuated 98 people.
As a result of the Russian attack, one person was killed and 19 were injured, including four children.
In a few days, the residents of the house, utility service workers and other concerned Kyiv residents organized themselves to disassemble the rubble and help each other to preserve the things that survived.
