Slobozhansky agricultural farm
Chkalovske, Kharkiv region
Slobozhansky Agricultural Farm in the village of Chkalovske, Kharkiv region, is one of the largest pig farms in Ukraine. Before the full-scale Russian invasion, there were up to 70,000 pigs on the company's two farms.
At the beginning of March 2022, the farm was occupied by the Russian military, and from April to September, fighting continued nearby. During the occupation, it lost more than 60,000 pigs due to shelling, lack of fodder, and disease.
"They came to the Urals. They broke down doors, entered barns, and shot animals. And then immediately threw themselves into KAMAZ trucks," said Denis Prokopets, director of the agricultural combine, about the period of occupation.
The buildings of the agricultural enterprise were destroyed as a result of shelling.
