Lyceum. Classroom 2
Verbivka, Kharkiv region
During the occupation of Balakliia, the Russians set up their base and ammunition warehouse on the territory of a lyceum in the village of Verbivka. In early September, Ukrainian troops de-occupied the settlement. During the retreat, the Russians detonated part of the ammunition, significantly damaging the school and nearby houses. In addition, during the occupation, the Russians took away all valuable property from the school, destroying the rest. The Russians even peeled off the linoleum, which was then used to equip the dugouts. Before the invasion, 303 children studied at the lyceum. At the moment, they cannot return to their school, so they are forced to continue studying remotely.
