Ms. Olena Kosevich from the village of Yarova, located near Lyman in the Donetsk region, is a master beadworker. In 2012, she presented her works at Euro 2012 in Donetsk, but ten years later, she was forced to hide in her basement from shelling.
Olena and her husband, Mykola, meet us at the gate of their house. “The house is destroyed, there are no windows, nothing,” the woman sighs. As a result of the shelling, their house was significantly damaged. Olena speaks with gratitude about the volunteers of “East SOS” who restored the roof of the house. And she also remembers with longing the times when there were many children and grandchildren in the house.
